Knobs

Privacy/Bed/Bath: A lever that locks from the inside to afford privacy.

Passage/Hall/Closet: A doorknob that does not provide any locking function. These are most frequently used on hallway or closet doors.

Keyed Entry: A knob set that locks with a key. Keyed entry knobs and levers work great in conjunction with a matching deadbolt; Handlesets.com will key them alike at no additional charge.

Dummy Knobs: A single dummy (also known as a "half dummy") is a single stationary knob that does not turn any latch mechanism. A double dummy (or "dummy set") acts as the equivalent of two single dummies, with hardware for both sides of a door. Dummies are intended for use on doors where only push/pull action is required.

Handleset

One-Piece: Commonly reffered to as "Monolithic", these handlesets consists of a single plate which connects the grip to the deadbolt. Be sure to know what your "center-to-center" measurement is prior to ordering one of these Handle Sets.

Two-Piece: Commonly referred to as "Sectional", these handle sets are composed of two sections. The Deadbolt and the Grip are mounted separate from one another.

Full Plate: For the ultimate finishing touch to your home, add a Handleset that will make your entrance welcoming and beautiful.

Mortise Locks: A mortise lock is the most secure form of an entry set. These types of locks require special door preparation in order to house the lock body.

Interconnected: An interconnected lock set inlcudes a built-in device that allows for easy exiting. If the knob/lever is turned from the interior side of the door, the deadbolt will automatically disengage itself.
